Rowland, Whitney

Whitney Rowland is a Minneapolis-based playwright, screenwriter, and game writer, and a current Core Writer at the Playwrights’ Center. She currently writes for Quantic Dream and has previously worked with Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Quebec, and Ubisoft Shanghai. You can see her writing in the AAA game titles ASSASSIN’S CREED SHADOWS and AVATAR: FRONTIERS OF PANDORA. Whitney’s plays have been developed at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference, Mid-America Theatre Conference, Kennedy Center American College Theater Festivals, Great Plains Theatre Conference, and PlayPenn, where she was named a 2019 Haas Fellow. Her work has been produced at Here’s the Exit Theatre Co, Synchronicity Theater, Pittsburgh New Works, Northwest Children’s Theater, and colleges around the country. Whitney has a Bachelors from the University of Kansas and MFA from Carnegie Mellon.
